After more than 6 weeks of fierce competition, the Rugby World Cup 2023 comes to a close this Saturday, October 28, with the final between New Zealand and South Africa. But before watching this eagerly-awaited match, spectators at the Stade de France, as well as viewers comfortably seated behind their TV sets, will be able to enjoy the closing ceremony, which promises to be a musical affair.
On Saturday, October 28, 2023, an artist will perform a 5-minute mini-performance in the Stade de France arena. But who will it be? This live performance will be given by... Mika! The Lebanese-born artist, who will soon be on tour in France, will be singing during the pre-game show on October 28, 2023. And Mika won't be performing alone, as he'll be joined by the Maîtrise Populaire de l'Opéra-Comique choir and the Mêlée des Chœurs. This organization, sponsored by Mika during this World Cup, has enabled over 7,000 French schoolchildren, from CM1 to Terminale, to perform the national anthems of all 48 Rugby World Cup matches.
Join us on TF1 this October 28, 2023 to watch the Rugby World Cup final live, preceded by the closing ceremony and this mini show by Mika.
