Ready to vibrate to the rhythm of the oval ball at the Rugby World Cup 2023? During the competition, the city of Paris will host a village dedicated to rugby in all its forms, on the Place de la Concorde! From September 8 to October 28, 2023, the capital is expecting thousands of people, thanks to the matches scheduled at the Stade de France, in the legendary stadium in Seine-Saint-Denis. If you're not one of the lucky few to have obtained a precious sesame to see the matches, the rugby village will be there to let you experience the event on a giant screen!
There'll be plenty of entertainment on site to give you the chance to try out this team sport, whatever your age! A festive program is expected, with concerts, workshops, meetings with athletes and, above all, broadcasts of World Cup matches. You'll also find photo booths, the official store, exhibitions and catering, including a restaurant from the Bouillon chain.
Rugby World Cup: a rugby village sets up in Saint-Denis, near the Stade de France
Just a stone's throw from the Stade de France, the emblematic venue for the Rugby World Cup 2023, a rugby village will be set up for two months, with a host of free events and match broadcasts on the program! [Read more]
Two pitches will be available, including one for wheelchair rugby, to raise awareness of inclusion in sport. The CAPSAAA association will be organizing introductory sessions to wheelchair rugby with two professional athletes every day from 2pm to 7pm, and rugby players from the Ile-de-France region will be offering workshops ranging from motor skills courses to team challenges and touch rugby, for all publics. 600 people will be able to take part each day, so you should be able to make the most of it!
You'll also be able to attend the International Wheelchair Rugby Cup, organized for the first time in France, from October 16 to 22, 2023, between the Halle Carpentier and the Accor Arena.
Open to all free of charge, the rugby village will welcome you every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the competition, as well as on Thursdays, only during the matches of the XV de France, from 2pm to 11:30pm.
