Over three days, from November 3 to 5, 2023, Europe's best judokas gather in Montpellier to try to win as many medals as possible, and earn a sesame for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It's off to a good start for our French at these European Judo Championships 2023, thanks to three athletes already in gold, good news for Olympic competition next year.
Although Teddy Riner is absent this time, Shirine Boukli, Luka Mkheidze and Amandine Buchard got the job done on Friday, the first day of the Euro. Our judo hopes are numerous, and other bronze medals accompanied the gold ones: Romain Valadier-Picard, Walide Khyar and Sarah-Léonie Cysique also reached the podium . A fine harvest that puts France in the lead for the time being, and one that we'll have to keep an eye on this weekend, as Clarisse Agbégnénou is still expected on Saturday and Audrey Tcheuméo on Sunday, among others!
Stay tuned!
