A free day of sport: fitness, English boxing and tai chi on the Champs-Elysées

To mark Women's Rights Day, the City of Paris is offering a free sports day for all, on the Champs-Elysées, with a host of events and sports sessions!

A few days before International Women's Rights Day, the Champs-Elysées are transformed, welcoming the city's sportsmen and women for a special, free day on March 3, 2024. The city's aim is to promote women's sporting activities in the public space, with a series ofsporting events including fitness, English boxing and tai chi, on the upper part of the avenue, closed to traffic for Paris Respire.

These classes are mainly aimed at women, but all budding athletes are welcome, subject to availability, and no advance registration is required. Then, on March 7, you're invited to attend a half-day conference on the theme "Gagner l'égalité, c'est sportif" at theHôtel de Ville, as well as an evening show at the Théâtre de la Concorde.

March 3 program

  • 2 Full Body sessions (cardio and muscle strengthening) led by Lucile Woodward via the association Sine Qua Non: 2 sessions at 11am and 1pm
  • Fitness classes
  • English boxing classes
  • French boxing / savate classes
  • Tai chi and qijong classes
  • Judo classes
  • Basketball and badminton activities
  • Intervention jump classes via the Sine Qua Non association
  • Afro move fit classes via the Sine Qua Non association and coach Rouki Nene
  • Dynamik Slide, HIIT and Danse Workout classes, in partnership with Nike
