Rising from the ground to host training sessions for water polo teams during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Camille Muffat aquatic center, located in Aubervilliers near the Zingaro equestrian theater and the future Grand Paris Express metro line, will officially welcome its first swimmers from December 10, 2024. It joins the CAO in Saint-Denis in strengthening the region's sports infrastructure and will enhance children's learning to swim at the heart of 8,200 m2.
Named after Camille Muffat, the champion swimmer who tragically died in 2015, the pool is due to be inaugurated on November 6, with demonstrations by six top swimmers, including Yohann Ndoye Brouard and Maxime Grousset. Open days will also be held on December 6 and 7, prior to thefinal opening when all residents of the town, as well as those from outside, will have access to the pools.
Equipped with two pools, 50m and 25m, of modular width, with a movable floor to vary depth, a leisure pool and a fitness room, the center is resolutely modern and accessible for both leisure and competition.
