Running lovers, save the date! On Sunday October 8, 2017, come to Paris to run the “20 kilomètres de Paris”. Launched in 1979, this sporting event managed to win the heart of many runners who now come from all over the world to take part in it. The race suits everyone, no matter your level.
Over 25,000 athletes are expected on this autumn day ready to succeed French athlete Morhad Amdouni who won the race in 59mn and 18 sec last year. As a proof of international recognition, the race has a FFA (French Athletics Federation) and an IAAF label. Runners from all over the world should come once again, and no need to say that Kenyan runners are very expected to monopolize man’s and woman’s podiums.
For this 39th edition, runners will also enjoy an exceptional route. They will start from the Pont d’Iéna to run across Paris most emblematic places before arriving at the Eiffel Tower.
Each year, the 20 kilomètres de Paris highlight a theme and this year, it will celebrate street art with a poster especially created by artist Nebay. This theme will also be highlighted on Friday October 6, 2017 when race numbers will be delivered, at the starting of the race and throughout the race on Sunday.
