Some have discovered her with “The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas”, released in 2013. Others did a bit later, in 2015, when her first album “Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit” came out.
This album, recorded in late fall 2014 during an intense session in the Head Gap studios in Melbourne, gave pride of place to Courtney Barnett’s incisive vision, her sharp mind, her ever more contagious and addictive melodies.
Depressing spends and dead foxes, relationships sure to breakdown and suburbs at a dead end, her own fears, doubts and insecurities… nothing could avoid the singer and musician’s caustic wit.
Three years later, Courtney Barnett was back on May 18 with a second disc. Entitled “Tell Me How You Really Feel”, this disc offers a new direction with strong compositions, a soft voice and bold lyrics.
On the occasion of the release, Courtney Barnett hits the European roads and plans to come back in the French capital this fall with a concert planed on Wednesday November 7, 2018 at Casino de Paris.
Let’s recall that Courtney Barnett also released in 2017 “Lotta Sea Lice”, an album in featuring with Kurt Vile.
While waiting her Parisian concert at Casino de Paris on November 7, we leave you with the first single from this new album called “Nameless, Faceless”.
