Metal, metal, metal! Apocalyptica and Epica will be sharing the bill on their joint tour, dubbed " The Epic Apocalypse Tour ". In Paris, the two symphonic metal bands will meet their fans for a one-off performance scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the Zénith de La Villette. The concert was originally scheduled for December 3, 2020, then postponed to April 13, 2021 and finally March 14, 2022. Due to the health crisis, the show has been postponed once again to February 2023.
An opportunity to discover or rediscover these two famous bands live. Apocalyptica is one of Finland's most famous metal quartets. The band was in Paris in April 2017 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its famous album'Plays Metallica By Four Cellos'.
In early 2020, Apocalyptica released its 9th studio album. Entitled 'Cell-0', this album marks the return of a fully instrumental sound, giving cellos their rightful place.
For their part, Epica are currently immersed in the production of their eighth album, and plan to present their new tracks to fans on this joint tour with Apocalyptica. Epica was founded in 2002 by Mark Jansen. The guitarist left the band After Forever to pursue his musical dreams with guitarist Ad Sluijter, bassist Yves Huts and pianist Coen Janssen.
And to top it all off, Epica and Apocalyptica will be joined by metal and progressive rock band Wheel, who will be warming up the venue in the first half.
