A new band from Mongolia performing folk metal is coming France! Called Uuhai, this formation plans to take over the small La Maroquinerie venue on Tuesday June 13, 2023. Needless to say this unique show is likely to be sold-out, book tickets now.
The most attentive ears will soon notice the ressemblance with another band from Mongolia, The Hu. Founded in 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, The HU quickly delighted the ears of many fans thanks to a style mixing rock, heavy metal and traditional Mongolian music. The HU have the specificity to master the art of Khöömei (throat singing), and play the Tsuur flute and Morin Khuur (horse-headed violin). The band was recently named UNESCO Artist for peace.
In 2023, discover another talented Mongolian band: Uuhai. Like The HU, this band evolves in metal folk. Like The HU, Uuhai practice throat singing and horse-headed violin. And like The HU, Uuhai put a lot of efforts in their music videos, taking us all on a journey to Mongolia. The difference is four of the five Uuhai members are wearing masks. So far, the band released no LP, but this is just a matter of time. In the meantime, Uuhai delight us with great compositions such as “Ser Ser ”, “Khun Sureg” and “Uuhai”:
On June 13, 2023, Uuhai – including Saruul, Zorigoo, Shinetsog-Geni, Batbavar and Otgonbaatar – expect you at La Maroquinerie to spellbind you for their unique show in Paris!
