Disquaire Day 2023 : concerts, conferences... a day dedicated to Metal at Ground Control

Metal music lovers ? You might like what follows! Saturday April 22nd 2023, it's the return of the Disquaire Day all over France! In Paris, many independent record shops will take part to the event and will propose on this occasion limited edition collector vinyls. The Disquaire Day is also the occasion to enjoy free events, with concerts and dj sets.

This spring, an event is likely to make extreme music lovers smile. Le Disquaire Day joins the Metal Social Club to create the very first discovery day dedicated to Metal.

To be lived on April 22nd, 2023 from 11am to 10pm at Ground Control, this event invites the general public to come and discover this musical style which always registers so many followers. Through different activities, but also the projection of films and documentaries, as well as conferences on the theme of culture, innovation and entrepreneurship by Metalheads, without forgetting concerts, the public will be immersed in the culture of metal! On the program

KEYNOTE
A keynote animated by Luc Frelon will start the day. On the theme of counter-culture, the keynote will explore the roots of metal as a counter-culture until its normalization with the great"heavy metal" period.

CONFERENCES

• A conference on lifestyle to draw a typical portrait of today's metalhead and his or her relationship to the counterculture.
• A conference on culture and industry animated by the Federation of Metal Music. In order to break this cliché image of the metalhead and to better show the extent of the phenomenon, this conference will welcome artists and academics around the table.
• A conference on metal and innovation. This time, entrepreneurs and inventors of innovative solutions will take the floor and present how technology can be put at the service of creativity and uses.

METAL MEDIA
In the " Salle des Pas Perdus ", come and discover Metal in all its forms.

• From 12pm to 6pm, a program to make you discover the different genres of extreme music from punk to black metal...
• At 6pm, the team of The Pit will come to present you its first documentary.
• From 8pm to midnight, metal is also some big bands, if you're not in front of the stage, you can take the opportunity to see again some selected songs: Kiss Rocks Vegas (Live) / Adam the Apostate: (Biopic on Nergal-Behemoth) / Slipknot - Day of the Gusano (Live) / Unscene Casablanca: Dive into the Moroccan Metal scene / God bless Ozzy Osbourne (Documentary - Biopic on Ozzy Osbourne) / Low Sound Desert (Documentary)

CONCERTS
And of course, live music will be on the program with three concerts scheduled during this day. On the program? Aldebert, a real metal fan, ODC and Delivrance.
