The Cannes Film Festival, a famous cinematographic event, highlights exceptional cinematographic works every year. However, the process of creating a film is not limited to the direction and the script. Music plays an essential role in the cinematic experience, bringing an emotional dimension and reinforcing the impact of the images on the spectator.
For this edition of the Cannes Film Festival, Nomade, in collaboration with Sacem, presents the Sunset Live Sacem. Every evening, from May 17th to 23rd, from 6pm to 8pm, the beach and the rooftop of the 3. 14 will host these unique musical performances (on invitation).
Léonie Pernet, with her new album "Le Cirque de Consolation", will open the ball on Wednesday May 17. She will unveil a music mixing pop, electronic music, neoclassic and oriental and African percussions.
On Thursday, May 18, Madjo will enchant the public with her exploratory pop music, tinged with indie-rock, soul and folk. Her original compositions, sung in French and English, reveal a dreamlike and captivating universe.
Flavien Berger, on Friday, May 19, will present songs from his new album "Dans cent ans". His music, imbued with mystery, transports us to a world where one look can change everything.
On Saturday, May 20, Irène Drésel will set the stage on fire with her colorful techno. Her hypnotic universe and crystalline melodies will create a unique atmosphere for Dionysian parties.
Bachar Mar-Khalifé, on Sunday, May 21, will take us on a journey through his compositions mixing classical, traditional, jazz and electronic music. His unclassifiable style has earned him numerous awards, including the Grand Prix des Musiques du Monde de la Sacem.
Olivia Merilahti, known for her band The Dø, will perform solo on Monday, May 22. Her album "Beginnings" offers a hybrid sound and sensual melodies, and she is also known for her contributions to film and TV soundtracks.
Finally, on Tuesday, May 23, Thomas de Pourquery will take us on a psychedelic-galactic-medieval journey with his new band. His adventurous repertoire, at the crossroads of jazz and pop, promises an extraordinary musical experience.
