They're from Brittany, they rock, and they're about to celebrate their 30th anniversary! They are the members of Matmatah! The famous band from Brest has been touring France since they reformed in 2017. In 2025, the group formed in 1995 and still led by Tristan Nihouarn, aka Stan, celebrates 30 years in the music business. To mark the occasion, Matmatah has announced a huge anniversary concert on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at theAccor Arena in Paris. The band will also be presenting its new album to fans. For the record, the Paris venue opens its pre-sale on November 23 at 10am.
Matmatah now boast six albums, the latest of which is entitled"Miscellanées Bissextiles" (released in February 2023). In 1998, the band exploded onto the airwaves with the release of their first album,"La Ouache". Comprising the hits " Lambé an Dro ", " Emma " and " L'Apologie ", the album sold over 800,000 copies.
Three more opuses followed -"Rebelote" in 2001,"Archie Kramer" in 2004 and"La Cerise" in 2007 - before the announcement of their separation, after 13 years of existence. Finally, Matmatah officially reformed in 2017, with the arrival of guitarist Emmanuel Baroux to replace Sammy. The band set off on tour again in February 2017, playing theOlympia on March 2, 2017.
In 2025, Matmatah will celebrate 30 years in the music business with a huge concert at theAccor Arena in Paris. So don't miss their 30th anniversary concert on October 11, 2025!
