Two musical evenings in dialogue with masterpieces from the Louvre's collection of Flemish and French paintings. This is the program that awaits you on Monday May 13 and Tuesday May 14, 2024 from 7.30pm at the legendary Parisian museum. This spring, on the occasion of the exhibition " Revoir Van Eyck. La Vierge du chancelier Rolin " exhibition, the Louvre opens its doors to Birds on a wire, made up of Rosemary Standley and Dom La Nena. Passionate about art and painting, the singer from the group Moriarty and the Franco-Brazilian singer and cellist have imagined two intimate evenings of art and music, accompanied for the occasion by the Orchestre de Paris Youth Choir.
The evening kicks off at 7:30pm with a 1.5-hour stroll through the rooms of the Richelieu wing, featuring musical impromptus by Birds on a Wire and their guests.
From 9:30 pm, head to theLouvre auditorium for an original, ultra-intimate concert by Birds on a wire, formed by Rosemary Standley and Dom La Nena. For over 10 years now, these two artists have been exploring and revisiting the vocal treasures of the early repertoires. Today, the duo is at the helm of two opuses,"Birds on a wire" released in 2014, followed by"Ramages" in 2020.
