If you're a regular stand-up performer, Poetry Club may sound familiar. The Les Mots writing school has indeed taken inspiration from the comedy club concept to create one evening a month dedicated to young poetry writers. On the Poetry Club stage, six poets will share their worlds with you.
Based on the same model as a comedy club, the young authors will perform in succession, for between 6 and 8 minutes each. Each evening offers a different style of writing and a different universe: sometimes funny, sometimes melancholy, sometimes light-hearted, sometimes committed. The performances are interspersed with a 20-minute intermission, during which the audience can recover from their emotions over a drink. The total duration of the event is therefore 1h30.
This emerging scene is a free space, designed to help you discover the richness and diversity of French and contemporary poetry. And who knows, maybe it will reveal the poet in you! The Poetry Club promises a poetic, lively and entertaining show, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The next edition takes place on December 5, 2024, and tickets are on sale here.
