Finalist for the prestigious Man Booker Prize, Paul Auster 's new novel will finally be available in French and this, from January 2018 and published as always by Editions Actes Sud. On this occasion, the Théâtre du Rond-Point (whose director, Jean-Michel Ribes, shares the same publishing house with the novelist) welcomes the American author with multiple successes, from his New York Trilogy to his Leviathan, through his excellent Brooklyn Follies.
The novel of more than 1000 pages draws an ambitious portrait of the America of the XXth century (isn't it, by the way, the objective of the author's work?). At its center is a single character, Ferguson, who embodies all the destinies that an American born in the 1950s could have known.
While in Paris, Paul Auster will talk with François Busnel, journalist and literary critic, about his work and the issues that are shaking contemporary America.
