From January 19 to May 25, 2024, the Théâtre Tristan Bernard will be hosting a comedy unlike any other: Mondial Placard, a play written and directed by Côme de Bellescize, denounces discrimination around the professional world through a tangle of rocambolical situations and quiproquos that are humorous to say the least.
The comedy is set in a corporate environment, as the saying goes, where Marion, newly promoted sales manager at Mondial Placard, is confronted with the discontent of male managers who feel discriminated against. The story takes a highly intriguing turn, when one of them decides to disguise himself as a woman to denounce this supposed injustice.
Written as a veritable contemporary vaudeville, this play skilfully blends comedy with rocky situations and misunderstandings. Although entertaining, "Mondial Placard" doesn't shy away from current social issues, making it as humorous as it is engaging.
Directed by Côme de Bellescize, this comedy, in which laughter and reflection are intertwined, was a brilliant winner of the Barrière Foundation's Prix Théâtre 2023. Mondial Placard at the Théâtre Tristan Bernard from January 19, 2024, is a show that combines humor and denunciation of societal issues in the workplace.
