In 2024, La Nuit des Molières celebrates its 35th edition. The ceremony, hosted by Caroline Vigneaux and broadcast on France 2, takes place on May 6, 2024 at the Folies Bergère. Here is the list of nominees for the Molières 2024.
The 35th edition of the Molières du théâtre takes place on Monday May 6, 2024 at the Folies Bergère, with Caroline Vigneaux as mistress of ceremony. The ceremony will be broadcast on France 2 television, starting at 9pm.
This will be only the second time a female artist has been chosen to present the Molières, following Zabou Breitman in 2018. After performing her third one-woman show at the Théâtre Edouard VII in Paris, Caroline Vigneaux continues her In Vigneaux Veritas tour across France. With a complete career path ranging from actress to columnist to stand-up pro, the former lawyer had even been nominated for the 2019 Molières for her show Caroline Vigneaux croque la pomme . As Mistress of Ceremonies, the comedian succeeds Alexis Michalik, Nicolas Bedos, Alex Lutz and Alex Vizorek and many others.
This year, the Molières ceremony is going bigger, returning to the Folies Bergère and its 1,670 seats after the Théâtre de Paris for the 34th edition. If you'd like to go and see any of the award-winning plays, you'll have to hurry once the awards have been presented, as they often sell out very quickly.
