The Théâtre du Rond-Point brings to the stage a stage adaptation of Vanessa Springora's novel "Le Consentement", which first caused a sensation when it appeared in bookshops in 2020. Le Consentement, Vanessa Springora's autobiographical account of her teenage years, spent from the age of 13 in an abusive relationship, under the sway of writer Gabriel Matzneff, 36 years her senior. In October 2023, the book was adapted for the screen by Vanessa Filho(Gueule d'ange), starring Jean-Paul Rouve as the writer, and Kim Higelin, Elodie Bouchez and Laëtitia Casta as the three ages of the main character, Vanessa Springora.
To embody this intimate and moving story on stage, the comedienne and actress Ludivine Sagnier, who has already been on stage in 2022, at the Théâtre de la Ville. Ludivine Sagnier, an award-winning French actress who has starred in numerous successful films, brings her talent to bear in this delicate, intense autobiographical tale. The play is directed by Sébastien Davis, and set to music by Dan Lévy, who tackle one of the most talked-about stories in recent literature.
