Animals & Wars, the exhibition at Paris Musée de l’Armée

The Musée de l’Armée offers a very interesting exhibition that will please the whole family. The exhibition focuses on the roles animals played throughout the wars humanity has endured. From August 2 to October 9, 2017, we do not retrace the footsteps of soldiers but horses, dogs and other war animals.

Come to the Main courtyard galleries to discover the exhibition entitled “Animals & Wars” that enlighten us about the role animals played during wars. Whether they are with humans on the battlefield or that their fur or their feathers are used for soldiers’ uniforms, animals are omnipresent.

They often are a symbol of strength, of mischief or of dedication, their image has been used many times to make the enemy understand what they were made of, and this, since the Antiquity.

The museum thinks big and present in twenty steps the role animals played in wars from the prehistory (!) to the 20th century with WWII.

After your visit, you can even have fun looking for animals represented in the Musée de l’Armée architecture… This exhibition will please your family!
