Photography in the spotlight at the Jardin d'Acclimatation. In January 2018, the park invited ten young photographers from the ENSP-Arles school to capture a snapshot of the premises with a view to presenting a month-long exhibition from March 15, 2018, based on these photos taken during the major works. A construction site initiated in September 2017 that these young film king artists will be able to traverse from end to end to propose an unprecedented work.
The idea behind this exhibition? Beyond encouraging ten young emerging talents from the prestigious school, the aim is above all to " take a singular, curious and astonished look at a place under reconstruction, at attractions in the process of being installed, to capture the ephemeral in the durable and the continuity between history and renewal ".
Ten artists took part in the project, each selecting between five and ten photos: Quentin Carrière, Florian Da Silva, Renault Swen, Nina Medioni, Eliott Chalier, Daniel Robles, Joana Luz, Agathe Mouches, Lucas Lemme and Elsa Martinez. Their aim: to paint a portrait of the garden and capture its special atmosphere. In all, they have a week to traverse the garden's paths, lawns and scaffolding from all sides, and capture the essence of the place.
At the end of the exhibition, a jury made up of specialists from Paris City Hall, the Ministry of Culture and LVMH's sponsorship department will select the winner of this first Carte Blanche.
