Napoléon Stratège, the exhibition at Paris Musée de l’Armée

Located in an aisle at the Invalides, Paris Musée de l’Armée houses a wide exhibition devoted to Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte (1769-1821) and his famous battles. The exhibition runs from April 6 to July 22, 2018.

Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte, as known as Napoléon I, has been the first French Emperor (from May 18, 1804 to April 6, 1814 and from March 20, 1815 to June 22, 1815). He has been a general in the army of the First French Republic after the French Revolution, commandant in chief in the Italian army and the Orient army. Napoleon reached power in 1799 thanks to a famous coup, before being enthroned Emperor on December 2, 1804 by the Pope Pius VII in Notre-Dame de Paris.
