Think, in the heart of the big Domaine national de Saint-Germain-en-Laye and after admiring its château that was used as the living place of the Kings of France, here you are, nose to nose with a piano around which bees buzz.
A bit further, you bump into fabric strips adorned with poems that seem to throw picked workds in the air. Keep going and you’ll find the “Tableau urbain d’une vieille pousse” [Urban painting of an old sprout] and even seven mushrooms that shows the passing time.
You get it, you’ve arrived in the heart of the Jardin de Mémoires [Remembrance garden] exhibition hosted by the Arts Convergences association, imagining varied actions for people suffering psychological illnesses.
For this exhibition, Arts Convergences invited contemporary artists such as Eric Le Maire, Charles-Edouard de Surville, Carole Baudon and Vanessa de Ternay, and art groups from Versailles, Trappes, Rambouillet and Saint-Germain-en-Laye creating a lovely dialog between art and nature through their works.
By welcoming this open-air exhibition and in free access, the Domaine national de Saint-Germain-en-Laye asserts its involvement for accessibility for all, a preoccupation dear to Arts Convergences.
Perfect to combine walk and culture, Jardin de Mémoires runs from July 1 to October 1, 2018.
