The Musée de l’Homme presents Déclaration, the Sebastião Salgado photo exhibit

The Musée de l’Homme celebrates the 70^th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with an exhibition focusing on Human Rights across the world by Sebastião Salgado and running from December 8, 2018 to June 30, 2019.

Invited by the museum, the Brazilian photographer specialized in black and white landscapes presents about thirty big formats in the auditorium hall of the Musée de l’Homme. Picture representing quite well Human Rights and taken the photographer’s 40-year career across the globe.

The message conveyed by these shots? “The need to defend the rights stated in the Declaration whatever the concerned region of the world, underlining the universal scope of this text” the Musée de l’Homme has stated.

At the same time, Clarisse Rebotier takes over the museum’s areas with pictures on “different people”, migrants who are often fleeing war in their homeland. The perfect occasion to (re)visit the Musée de l’Homme and its wonderful collections.

Please note that for the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the admission will be free of charged on December 8 and 9, 2018.
