After various forms of actions for health caregivers like a ballet improvised during lockdown by the Opéra de Paris dancers, the Parisian cultural institution wanted once again to mark the occasion by displaying 500 black and white portraits of health caregivers from July 10 to 31, 2020 on the façade of the Opéra Bastille.
A wonderful tribute made possible thanks to Inside Out Project in partnership with ProtègeTonSoignant, a civic group that called for donations to help the medical staff throughout the crisis and that “bought and delivered medical gear to about 400 hospitals in France – including Corsica and Mayotte – thanks to donations of over 6,800 people” as our peers from Konbini say. “The After World, it is with them all. Doctors, ER doctors, janitors, assistant nurses, security guards… Here are their faces” the group explains on Twitter. An initiative also supported by JR.
This work of art has been made with pictures by David Hugonot Petit, Adrien Lachappelle, and Nathalie Naffzger. Pictures taken in a dozen places in the country, in “Béziers, Nantes, Paris, Colmar, Saint-Denis, Lille, or Bobigny” – still according to Konbini. A beautiful tribute to discover until the end of the month.
