Stars, shocking photos, hidden portraits, moments of intimacy, great events that have marked the last decades... With its photographers and exhibitions, the Galerie de l'Instant perfectly illustrates the adage "a picture is worth a thousand words".
Located in the heart of the Marais, this art gallery regularly organizes chic and shocking exhibitions, highlighting the great figures of yesterday and today. Serge Gainsbourg, Marilyn Monroe, Jane B., Frida Kahlo, Romy Schneider, Steve McQueen, Kate Moss, Brigitte Bardot... The Instant gallery knows how to make us dream by choosing the biggest stars as subject of its exhibitions.
And on the side of the exposed photographers, we also find great names! Andrew Birkin, Graciela Iturbide, Jean-Pierre Laffont, Sam Shaw, Paolo Pellegrin, Bruce Weber, Sergio Veranes... No wonder, then, that we rush to the gallery as soon as a new exhibition is announced!
And by the way, why don't we take a look at the current program? From March 16 to May 31, 2023, the Galerie de l'Instant offers an exhibition gathering different photographers around a common theme.
The freeexhibition Corpus anima highlights bodies and their beauty. Through the lens of Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts, Lucien Clergue, Bruce Weber, Ellen Von Unwerth, Masao Yamamoto and many others, we discover and admire the bodies of these artists, models, actors or dancers who pose before the camera.
These naked or scantily clad bodies are revealed. There is nothing licentious or vulgar in these images: on the contrary, these bodies become real objects of art, thanks to the play of light and shadow, to the staging. What we admire are the emotions that are expressed through these bodies, the stories they tell, what they say about their owner. Men and women reveal themselves, literally and figuratively, in these pictures full of poetry and finesse.
A beautiful exhibition to discover without delay at the gallery of the Instant!
