The Renaissance at the Château de Vincennes, the historical event of the Easter weekend

Would you like to go back in time for a weekend? Head for the Renaissance, at the Château de Vincennes, to discover the life of the Valois at the time, thanks to numerous surprising and entertaining activities, from April 8 to 10, 2023. During this historical Easter weekend, you will be able to attend armor combat demonstrations, dance shows and theatrical performances, with your family!

During the whole weekend, immersive workshops will allow children and adults to discover the Renaissance cuisine, but also the weapons, armors and ancient games practiced then. Thanks to the association"Cléry raconte", you will be able to reconstruct the daily life of those who lived at the Château de Vincennes, from King François I to his grandson Henri III. Aimed at both history buffs and the curious, the event also features an exceptional theatrical performance.

Much Ado About Nothingis one of William Shakespeare's most famous comedies. During the"April Shakespeare" festival in Vincennes, you will have the opportunity to discover excerpts of this play performed in English by the students of the International Theatre School of Fontainebleau!

• 10:30 am: play tour - music & dance in the Renaissance
• 11:30 am : performance of Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare (in English)
• 12:00 pm : Renaissance dances
• 3pm : performance of Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare (in English)
• 3:30 pm : Renaissance dances
• 4:30 pm : initiation to medieval dances
• 4:30 pm: workshop " apprentice artist in the Renaissance
• 5:00 pm : initiation to weapons, armors and fights
