The Maison La Roche, a jewel of modern heritage and the first milestone of architectural purism, was built between 1923 and 1925 by Le Corbusier and his cousin, Pierre Jeanneret. Today, this architectural marvel in the 16th arrondissement of Paris is open to the public, as is the architect's Appartement-Atelier in Boulogne, hosting exhibitions of contemporary art and design that enliven its spaces with renewed vitality!

The boldness of the Maison La Roche lies in its innovative use of reinforced concrete, embodying the five points of the new architecture of 1927: free facade, free plan, long windows, garden roof and pilotis.
This marriage of aesthetics and functionality marked a remarkable architectural revolution, helping to establish Le Corbusier as the master of modernity in architecture.
The house was commissioned by Raoul La Roche, a banker and art collector, who wanted an art gallery to display his paintings, in addition to his private apartments.
Classified as a historic monument in 1996, it joined the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2016, along with 16 other Le Corbusier creations.
Today, Maison La Roche has become a true symbol of innovation and creativity, and continues to inspire future generations by opening its doors to guided tours and a variety ofart and design exhibitions.
