Calling all fans of artists' editions! Galerie Perrotin (the Perrotin Store to be more precise) awaits you to discover the exhibition Perrotin Editions: Tous Collectionneurs! from February 1 to 22, 2024. Located in the heart of the Marais district, this exhibition will take place in the gallery's extension, at the end of impasse Saint-Claude. It promises to reveal a unique selection of artists' editions, offering an enriching experience for art lovers and discerning collectors alike. The event marks a privileged meeting point between contemporary art and the general public, inviting everyone to discover or rediscover art from a new, more accessible angle.
Since its launch in 2011 in Paris, the Perrotin Store has constantly evolved, expanding far beyond France's borders with successive openings in New York, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and even ephemeral outlets in Hong Kong and Dubai. The inauguration of its e-shop in 2014 marked a turning point, broadening its reach and asserting its presence on the international scene. Remarkable collaborations, such as those with La Samaritaine in 2021 and The Conran Shop Paris in 2022, testify to Perrotin Store 's desire to merge art with other creative fields. In 2022, the association with the Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas confirms its growing success and its vision of widening access to art.
Perrotin Editions, with over ten years' experience, is a key pillar of this accessibility approach. This department specializes in the publication of a variety of works: catalogs, monographs, artists' books, posters and other art objects in limited editions. Each piece is the fruit of close collaboration with the artists, reflecting their vision and creativity.
The Perrotin Editions: Tous Collectionneurs! exhibition is a first in the gallery's history, featuring a unique scenography conceived in partnership with the design house Pierre Augustin Rose. It embodies the gallery's philosophy of making art accessible to all, a principle dear to Perrotin's founder, inspired by his own family background and his passion for the democratization of art. As for the artists exhibited (and whose works are for sale...), they all include big names in contemporary art such as Laurent Grasso, Sophie Calle, JR, Claire Tabouret and Izumi Kato.
Access to the exhibition is via the Galerie Perrotin: enter the gallery, go straight ahead, then turn left to go to the back of the current exhibition, then down the stairs and follow the indicated path. Alternatively, you can go straight through theimpasse Saint-Claude, located in rue Saint-Claude (a street perpendicular to rue de Turenne). All you have to do is take a stroll!
