Sacredart invites a shared experience, using beauty to create connection, allegory and common purpose.Craftsmanship holds the secret to this alignment of visions, using all the languages of nature: form, texture, color and movement. This language invites us to connect with the work and then to introspect, creating an encounter between the outer and inner worlds.
A dozen French and internationalartists and craftsmen take you on an intimate journey.
Meet calligraphers, painters, ceramists and fashion designers exhibiting their collections. Most of the original works are available for sale. The Compagnons du devoir institution provides an insight into the gesture and transmission of skills through interactive demonstrations of stained glass and jewelry.
The day will be punctuated by talks and performances, starting with three lectures on the themes of art in civilization, the transmission of knowledge and the art of Islam.
Pencak Silat, a Malaysian martial art combining the art of gesture and dress, self-defense and spirituality, will be presented in a live demonstration. From Southeast Asia to Africa, there's only one allegorical step: the corel of West African singers from the Mouride brotherhood will introduce us to the poetry of Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba's journey.
A sacred geometry workshop is also available during the registration phase.
The Festival is nestled in a green setting just a few minutes from Paris. Refreshments and snacks are included in the booking.
