AI and art intermingle at the Grand Palais Immersif in Paris with Artificial Dreams, an exhibition-performance featuring works assisted by artificial intelligence that awaits us from May 16 to June 8, 2024.

Artificial Intelligence in the art world, that's what's in store for us in Paris, at the Grand Palais Immersif, with an exhibition-performance. Artificial Dream takesus to the heart of digital art, with workscreated with the help of AI. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening from May 16 to June 8, 2024, 12 international artists, studios and collectives will be on hand to showcase their creations.

At a time when AI tools are multiplying, this technological revolution is feared by some, adored by others. By turns a source of fear and opportunity,Artificial Intelligence is spreading and showing the impact it can have on different aspects of society, from social networks to the medical field, from information to education. And what about the world of the arts? DoesAI threaten creation, or can it help push back the boundaries?

TheArtificial Dream exhibition is set to demonstrate whatartificial intelligence can achieve when used in the service of the imagination. The cast of this dreamlike event includes artists, collectives and studios Markos Kay, Andy Thomas, Tryphème & Ulysse Lefort, Ryoichi Kurokawa, IMMERSIVE ARTS SPACE/ZHdK, Mots, Daito Manabe, MSHR, Sabrina Ratté, Justine Emard, Visual System, Emi Kusano, Iconem and Niceaunties.

This night-time exhibition promises a " spectacular immersive projection" in the main hall, as well as a series of installations on the upper floors. Several live events, performances, lectures and round-table discussions are also planned for these evenings in the heart of artificial dreams.

During our visit, we found that the exhibition lived up to its promise. We discovered works that respected the style of the various artists presented, as a demonstration of AI as a new medium for creation in digital art, showing that artificial intelligence could take its place in the artistic sphere by pushing back its limits. A projection lasting around an hour in the main hall plunges us into radically different universes, while on the upper floors other works await us in a variety of media. Two interactive works even transform the visitor into a work of art, making this exhibition a participatory one, offering everyone the surreal opportunity to be an exhibitor in their own right.
