A matchstick Eiffel Tower takes up residence at Beaugrenelle for a temporary exhibition

During the "Made in Paris" event at Beaugrenelle, a number of monuments are presented in an exhibition, including Richard Plaud's famous Eiffel Tower made of matches, in the Guinness Book 2024!

This summer, the Beaugrenelle shopping center is organizing"Made in Paris", an event designed to celebrate the capital and showcase Paris' iconic monuments, revisited by contemporary artists. For the occasion, from July 20 to August 12, 2024, discover Richard Plaud's famous Eiffel Tower in matches, entered in the Guinness Book 2024, a faithful reproduction of the famous Parisian monument on a 1/45th scale, 7.19 meters high!

An unprecedented and impressive creation, weighing 78kg and made up of 706,900 matchsticks, it is the tallest matchstick construction in the world, begun on December 30, 2015 and completed on December 27, 2023, the centenary of Gustave Eiffel's death, a feat that had already taken the world by storm!

You can also admire theArc de Triomphe as revisited by the famous street artist Jo Di Bona, have your portrait drawn by caricaturists, watch Nicolas Fleury's BMX freestyle show, take in a concert or learn to breakdance with the French Wingz company, at events held throughout the summer.
