Extraordinary workshops: immersive experiences in the world of Monet, Gaudi or Van Gogh

Hangar Y explores art in a different way, with specialimmersive experiences, immersing us in the world of three great artists. Thanks to virtual reality, travel through the flower garden of Claude Monet, the paintings of Vincent Van Gogh, or the architectural creations of Gaudi.

From November 1, 2024 to February 16, 2025, visit Les Ateliers extraordinaires, and enjoy an unusual experience up close to your favorite artists. Three immersive virtual reality journeys are on offer. With your helmet on, discover the works and inspirations of these artists in a different way, in a scripted epic.

The Claude Monet experience - entitled L'obsession des nymphéas - takes us to Giverny. In the heart of these famous gardens, facing the water lilies, we find the painter in conversation with his friend Georges Clémenceau. The artist's universe is revealed through the seasons, in this world of flowers, ponds, trees and colors.

For the second experience, Hangar Y sends us to Auvers-sur-Oise, close to Vincent Van Gogh. Guided by the voice of Marguerite, the painter's daughter, spectators rediscover Van Gogh's greatest masterpieces through his palette of colors. This experience allows us to learn more about the working and impasto techniques used by the painter to create his distinctive works.

Finally, meet Gaudi, the architect of genius. L'atelier du Divin takes visitors on a tour of the Spanish artist's lost studio, where they can discover his work and his creative process. The reconstructed studio is populated by the architect's disciples, who take it in turns to explain the artist's life, working techniques and inspirations, not forgetting of course the famous Sagrada Familia, Barcelona's unfinished basilica.
