Attention fashionistas and art lovers: this autumn, the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme is draped in glamour with an exhibition of ultra-"wow" fashion photos by Ellen von Unwerth. Until December 1, 2024, the star photographer plunges us into her erotico-chic universe with a series of daring shots, just the right amount of subversive to titillate our gaze. All to prolong the effervescence of the capital's unmissable arty events, such as Art Basel and Paris Photo.
If Ellen knows the underbelly of fashion so well, it's because she spent almost a decade in the spotlight before trading in her stilettos for the lens. Since then, she's been debunking stereotypes by shooting femininity with a filter all her own: piquant sensuality, knowing smiles and that famous "pure joy" she captures like no other. Her works, on display in the lobby of the2nd arrondissement hotel and at Café Jeanne, tell the story of a fashion that pokes fun at codes while freeing itself from diktats.
And because we couldn't stop there, Ellen also slipped her spicy touch behind the bar, concocting with the master bartender a bespoke cocktail to spice up the visit. Clichés? They're yours for the taking, of course (prices on request, for those who dare).
A free exhibition to be savoured, literally, right down to the last shot and the last ice cube!
