Attention photography fans! The Jeu de Paume is hosting a retrospective exhibition devoted to photographer Luc Delahaye from October 10, 2025 to January 25, 2026. This event highlights the work of this major artist, known for his large-scale documentary photographs. This is an opportunity to discover or rediscover some forty of his works, a video, and installations specially created for the event.

Luc Delahaye, born in 1962, distinguished himself as a war photographer in the 1990s, before joining theMagnum agency for a time. From the 2000s onwards, he took an artistic turn, favoring large format and exhibition spaces, while maintaining a documentary eye on the chaos of the contemporary world. His photographs, whether snapshots or digital compositions produced over several months, tackle a wide range of themes, from the war in Iraq to international conferences such as the COP.

This exhibition at the Jeu de Paume, the first in Paris since 2006, invites us to reflect on the relationship between art and reality. As Luc Delahaye explains: " To arrive, through a form of absence, through a form of unconsciousness perhaps, at a unity with reality. A silent unity . This approach is reflected in his works, which are at the crossroads of current affairs and artistic contemplation.
