The Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé celebrates cinema through cultural events and family gatherings in Paris's 13th arrondissement.

Pathé is the second oldest film company still in business in the world. Drawing on this rich history, the company has opened an artistic foundation, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, to bring the history of cinema to life. Exhibitions, screenings, workshops, conferences, activities for children: all year round, the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé foundation takes us into the world of cinema, in all its forms.

Founded in 1896 by brothers Emile and Charles Pathé, Pathé initially sold phonographic products and equipment, before moving into film creation and production. Over the decades, the company has grown to become a major player in the French film industry.

The Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé preserves and promotes this artistic heritage: its collections include numerous cameras and filming equipment, as well as posters, advertising products, photographs, film accessories, books and newspapers, not forgetting of course a substantial catalog of films from all eras.

The art venue in the 13th arrondissement is a multi-disciplinary site, housing permanent and temporary exhibition spaces, a projection room and a research and documentation center.

The foundation offers a wide range of cultural events, and stands out for its cinema, which is mainly dedicated to silent films and promises to rediscover the old films of the 7th art, and offers screenings accompanied by a pianist, as was the custom at the time.

The Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation is closed on Mondays and Sundays. It is accessible by metro lines 5, 6 and 7, "Place d'Italie" stop. Holders of the CinéPasse Pathé Gaumont and the Libre Pass de la Cinémathèque française benefit from reduced rates for access to film screenings and exhibitions.

If you're a film lover, don't miss out on this arts venue with its rich and often original programming!
