The Journées européennes des Métiers d'art (European Crafts Days ) take place every spring: this event - celebrating its 18th edition this year - puts the spotlight on exceptional craftsmen and skills. Master glassmakers, cabinetmakers, sculptors, ceramists, milliners, lacemakers, illuminators, paint restorers... In all, there are 281 professions with this special status.
JEMA provides an opportunity to discover these many professions and skills, while visiting cultural sites, museums, workshops, backstage at theaters...
On April 6 and 7, 2024, the Cour de l'Industrie, located in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine district of Paris, welcomes us for a weekend of discovery. Free events are organized to introduce us to the artists and craftsmen who work in this unique and historic complex.
The square courtyard was once home to housing and workshops for workers and craftsmen. Also known as 37bis, the Cour de l'Industrie has a rich and fascinating history, intimately linked to the history of France and the Revolution. A must-see for anyone with a passion for culture!
