Going green within the reach of your Navigo Pass? It's possible! Head for the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, which is celebrating the 8th edition of its"Jardins du monde en mouvement" festival from April 30 to September 28, 2025. An open-air exhibition that smells of chlorophyll and unveils beautiful, arty gardens planted in the 34-hectare Cité park.
These landscape creations are the work of the 5 winners of the "Jardins du monde en mouvement" competition, sponsored by Caisse des Dépôts, who this year embody a century of life at the Cité internationale. Halfway between history and utopia, poetry and fantasy, these ephemeral gardens blend harmoniously into the setting, interacting with the Cité's emblematic architecture. They also emphasize sustainable development through the use of bio-sourced materials, rainwater harvesting and the creation of ecological niches.
Witness to the Cité internationale universitaire's great cultural diversity (140 nationalities, after all!), these plots are inspired by the riches of the world and of art to recreate creative and poetic ecosystems.
Dive headfirst into the greenery on this free walk, immersing yourself in a variety of arty landscapes!
