From June 28 to July 29, 2018, Montmartre welcomes a brand new place to live: La Villa Extraordinaire imagined by Leboncoin. A contemporary, playful and artistic space and garden nestled in the heart of the Butte Montmartre (within the Cité Internationale des Arts) that will appeal not only to grown-ups but also to children, who are, as we know, real sponges for knowledge. So don't hesitate to let them discover La Ville Extraordinaire'simmersive, experiential exhibition.
The exhibition features everyday objects that are given a second life by the skilled hands of several artists. It's an exhibition in tune with the times, advocating the recovery of objects, their detour and transformation, rather than throwing them in the garbage can. We love this initiative.
In all, ten pieces make up this interactive journey combining plastic arts and music. Parisian duo Polo & Pan will offer an interactive immersion in their "canopy", artist and musician Eric Michel will take you into a room where you'll see everything in pink, while Agar Agar will invite you to play in their room entirely composed of interconnected instruments.
Also on the program: an immobile journey in a hot-air balloon, a jump into a pool filled with objects and mini indoor soccer parties. Intrigued? Then join us on June 28 to discover all the mysteries!
To round off this original interlude in Montmartre, Villa Extraordinaire is organizing a closing party on Friday July 27 from 6pm. Throughout the evening, the chatartine brand, known for its humorous hand-embroidered clothes, will be on hand. On the music front, the Le Gout du Son collective will accompany guests with a DJ set from 10pm.
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
