Phénomèn'Art 2024: the street-art festival in Val-de-Marne and Paris

Phénomèn'Art is the street art festival taking place in several towns in the Val-de-Marne and in Paris, from October 11 to 13, 2024. On the program: workshops, walks, exhibitions, street art initiations and meetings with artists!

To discover or rediscover street-art and urban arts in the company of professionals and enthusiasts, the Val-de-Marne returns with the Phénomèn'Art festival. From October 11 to 13, 2024, several towns in the département (Alfortville, Arcueil, Bonneuil-sur-Marne, Cachan, Champigny-sur-Marne, Charenton-le-Pont, Fontenay-sous-bois, Gentilly, Ivry-sur-Seine, Vincennes and Vitry-sur-Seine) and in the 12th and 13th arrondissements of Paris, are hosting a number of events for which you can register for between 5 and 15 euros. On the program: urban strolls, exhibitions, live performances, artistic initiations, studio visits, meetings with artists... for a weekend under the sign of art!

This festival is a great opportunity for those wishing to take a closer look at the richness of urban arts, with artists such as Tom Brikx, Stew and Andrew Wallas sharing their vision and techniques duringinitiations or live performances. The atmosphere promises to be convivial and immersive, between exhibitions and meetings with the creators themselves. The presence of renowned artists from the local and international scene makes this event even more attractive.

What we really appreciate about Phénomèn'Art is the way it showcases historic urban art sites, particularly in Vitry-sur-Seine, where street art has been present for over 50 years. Initiated by the artist C215, the movement has taken on international scope, and the frescoes that color the city are testimony to this. Thanks to this festival, other communes in the Val-de-Marne, such as Fontenay-sous-Bois and Gentilly, are also finding their place on the art scene, with themed tours enabling visitors to discover more about the evolution of this art form.

One of the highlights of Phénomèn'Art are the city walks, which cost just 5 euros. This is an opportunity to stroll the streets with passionate guides who tell the story of the works, the techniques used and the context in which they were created. You can also sign up for introductory workshops at 15 euros, where amateurs can try their hand at this discipline by learning graffiti or stencil techniques alongside professionals.

Phénomèn'Art is a celebration of urban cultures, and its location in two Paris arrondissements (12th and 13th) blurs the boundaries between the capital and the suburbs. The aim is clear: to create a bond around street art, raise awareness among visitors, and offer a colorful weekend accessible to all, whether amateur or enthusiast.
