The medieval town of Provins, a Unesco World Heritage Site for over 10 years, will once again be the scene of one of Europe's biggest medieval festivals for a weekend on June 14 and 15, 2025. This year marks the 40th anniversary of this not-to-be-missed event.

The 40th edition of the Médiévales de Provins is back with a bang, and promises to be a grandiose event. On June 14 and 15, 2025, young and old alike will be able to enjoy a true historical reconstruction of the famous Champagne Fairs that made the city famous in the 12th and 13th centuries, in the Unesco World Heritage city.

With medieval games and activities, a medieval ball and a chance to discover the trades of the time, there's no room for boredom!

As you wander through the streets, you'll come across troubadours, merchants and musicians, all passionate about the medieval era, on hand to immerse you in a timeless experience! You and your family can try your hand at a wide range of medieval games, including shuffleboard, skittleboard and wooden swordplay! And don't forget to do a little shopping, discovering leatherwork, precious fabrics, medieval armor and musical instruments.

To stimulate your imagination, storytellers will evoke the beliefs and superstitions of the Middle Ages, including dragons, goblins and chimeras.

And if you really want to feel the atmosphere of the period, you'll have to take part in the dances, jousts and street shows, and attend the festival's great classics: the traditional medieval ball on the Place du Châtel, a grand medieval concert and the not-to-be-missed Sunday parade with 700 people in medieval costume.

Don't forget to book your tickets online, for quicker entry! A little bonus: if you come in costume, admission is cheaper.

But be careful, your knight, peasant or even dragon costume must be complete, from shoes to headdress! After all, what would the Middle Ages be without their legends?
