On the program: meetings, workshops, tours, shows and a host of other events to celebrate biodiversity .

The Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle has been a crossroads of knowledge for almost 400 years. It is dedicated to the Earth's biological, geological and cultural diversity, and to the relationship between man and nature. Founded in 1635 as the Jardin royal des plantes médicinales, it became the Muséum d'Histoire naturelle in 1793.

Over the centuries, great minds have contributed to its development, enriching and studying collections, providing outstanding teaching and, above all, passing on their knowledge. Today, researchers, teachers, museologists, taxidermists and gardeners all share the same passion: to better understand nature in order to better preserve it.

The Muséum is a research center supported by laboratory studies, worldwide expeditions, exceptional collections and recognized expertise. Through teaching and dissemination activities, its knowledge is intended to be shared. The aim is to make knowledge of nature accessible to all, and to raise awareness of the need to protect our planet.

The institution employs 2,000 people, including 500 researchers, trains some 350 students a year, houses 67 million specimens in its reserves and galleries, and welcomes nearly 3 million visitors every year to 12 sites across France.

For this new edition, the Museum invites you to celebrate Nature on Saturday May 25 and Sunday May 26. The Jardin des Plantes will once again be hosting the " Village de la Nature ", offering a wide range of activities, workshops and tours! You'll be able to celebrate nature and learn from it.
