During the Nuit des Châteaux 2023 in Paris, history buffs and the curious will have the opportunity to discover the last private mansion still occupied by the family who built it. On October 27, 2023, the Hôtel Kergorlay Langsdorff will exceptionally open its doors to individual visitors for a guided nocturnal tour into the heart of history.

La Nuit des Châteaux is the annual event that brings together history buffs and the curious, eager to make new discoveries. For one evening, treasures of our heritage open their doors to reveal their secrets through unusual nocturnal visits. This event, initiated by the start-up Dartagnans, is a fun way to raise awareness of the need to preserve the castles and monuments that make up the charm and richness of our regions.

As you'd expect, the Paris region is answering the call. So, what about the program in Paris? For the next event, scheduled for Friday October 27, 2023, the capital invites you to discover theHôtel Kergorlay Langsdorff. Located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, this is the last private mansion still occupied by the family who built it.

Dating from the late 19th century,Hôtel Kergolay Langsdorff was designed by Paul Ernest Sanson, a leading architect of the Belle Époque. Here, you can follow in Napoleon's footsteps, notably through the collection of historical memorabilia on display, a legacy of General de Caulaincourt (Grand Écuyer, Ambassador to Russia and Napoleon's Minister of External Relations).

  • Set out to discover this magnificent Hôtel particulier in the heart of the XVIᵉ arrondissement, which harbors Napoleonic treasures, a consequence of the fact that it was built for the granddaughter of General de Caulaincourt, Napoleon's confidant. The tour is led by descendants of this famous general.
