An entrance worthy ofHollywood Boulevard! At an Insidears event on December 14, 2024, Disneyland Paris unveiled new images of World Premiere, the redesign of Studio 1 at Walt Disney Studios. These images are accompanied by a video showing a little more about the scope of the work. These new images also echo those unveiled at D23, held last August.
A brand-new entrance sequence for the area, designed to be consistent with the park's new identity, with work scheduled to continue until spring 2025, as announced by Disneyland Paris at a press conference on April 12, 2024.
The idea behind the redesign? To transport visitors into the heart of a contemporary open-air film studio, "before becoming the privileged guests of a glamorous Hollywood evening, celebrating the premiere of a blockbuster film under a starry sky", as explained in a press release. Inside Studio 1, a new décor will offer "a new immersive experience paying homage to Hollywood's great cinemas and the entertainment industry more globally", again according to the release. Thus, part of the false façade (that of the current restaurant) will disappear, making way for the restaurant with a new table layout, to accommodate more diners (530 places), in Garden Party/"Grande première de cinéma" mode.
As a result, World Premiere will take on aHollywood Boulevard feel, with palm trees, stars on the ground and characteristic Los Angeles facades (including those of Disney's Burbank Studios). Dynamic projection effects are also planned.
The exit from Studio 1, overlooking the park, will be complemented by a faux-cinema facade, in the style of old American cinemas with their illuminated facades, allowing you to discover the world of film as you've never experienced it before.
Once out of the building, visitors will find themselves in World Premiere Plaza, a new district featuring numerous theaters"currently celebrating Disney and Pixar stories in an elegant, art deco-inspired environment", as Disneyland Paris puts it. A universe inspired by the theaters of London's West End and New York's Broadway. Expect shinier graphics and a greener setting, with numerous trees and bushes planted. A canopy will divide the flow of visitors in two, opening on either side of Studio 1.
On the occasion of D23, held from August 9 to 11, 2024, Disneyland Paris unveiled a first concept art of the restaurant we were offered,The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant.
"With its elegant "outdoor" Hollywood party atmosphere, it will be the perfect place to grab a bite to eat before continuing to explore Disney Adventure World," the park also explains in a tweet.
Toon Studios ' landscaping will also be revisited, with more green spaces, trees and flowers. The Place des Stars will also be extensively redesigned, allowing shows to be staged on the Tower of Terror, while being surrounded by gardens. Hollywood Boulevard will be preserved, but the false facades will be replaced by trees to create a new perspective.
This redesign will offer visitors a more immersive and captivating experience, while respecting the heritage of Walt Disney Studios Park. Work is scheduled for completion in spring 2025!
