On the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture, the general public is invited to visit the most beautiful gardens in Paris and the Île-de-France region over an exceptional weekend on June 3 and 4, 2023. Secret gardens, green spaces of several hectares, departmental parks, public or private, you have the choice of dozens or even over a hundred gardens to visit for the occasion! The gardens are getting all dressed up for Rendez-vous aux Jardins 2023, with a great program for the whole family: guided tours, creative workshops, concerts, tastings and much more await you!
When we talk about the most beautiful rose gardens in the Île-de-France region, it's hard to miss the one in L'Haÿ-les-Roses, in the Val-de-Marne department, and also the one in Provins, in the Seine-et-Marne department! With more than three hectares of land, this magnificent rose garden is criss-crossed by streams, offering a beautiful bucolic stroll to all its visitors. In all, it boasts more than 500 varieties of fragrant roses, including the one to which the town gave its name, the rose de Provins or rosa gallica officinalis, from its scientific name. If you're visiting the medieval town of Provins, be sure to pay a visit, especially when the roses are in bloom!
