If you follow the Ourcq Canal upstream from La Villette, after just a few kilometers you'll come across a large landscaped park along the Ourcq towpath. A veritable green lung for Bobigny, Parc de la Bergère is ideal for completing your jog along the banks of the Canal, for a family outing to the local playground or for an afternoon read in the sun.
If you've taken the lovely bike ride from Paris to Sevran, from the Bassin de la Villette to the Parc de la Poudrerie, stop off at the Parc de la Bergère and its 15 hectares of greenery. Developed between 1977 and 1988, Parc de la Bergère is best known for the large white cable-stayed bridge that crosses the canal to link the park to the adjoining banks. Keep your eyes peeled as you stroll: the park boasts two street art murals, Tricky by Alex Akhine, and the large anonymous portrait by Daniel Eime.
On site, you'll find ping-pong tables, a children's playground, a caniparc and a fitness trail with an outdoor weights area. Throughout the summer, you can also take the river shuttles to and from the Parc de la Bergère during the Été du Canal.
Parc de la Bergère is open every day, all year round. To get there, take metro line 5 (Bobigny Pablo Picasso stop) or tramway line T1 (also Bobigny Pablo Picasso stop). Enjoy your visit to Parc de la Bergère!
