On the border of the Val-d'Oise and Seine-Saint-Denis departments, the Butte Pinson regional park offers over 120 hectares of greenery, straddling the towns of Villetaneuse (93), Pierrefitte-sur-Seine (93), Montmagny (95) and Groslay (95). Perched high above Villetaneuse, the park is perfect for nature outings, jogging or family outings!
All along the park, you'll find the "ruban vert", a bucolic walkway that takes you around this large green space, managed by the Agence des espaces verts d'Île-de-France. Along the way, you'll also come across the Fort de la Redoute, a former military fort dating back to the 19th century that offers a lovely view over the whole park. Every day, all year round, the Butte Pinson park is particularly popular for its children's playgrounds, its freely accessible picnic tables and its trail in the footsteps of Impressionist painter Maurice Utrillo, who set up his easel in Villetaneuse many times.
Known as "Butte Montmartre's little sister", the park is open every day, all year round.
To get there, you can take the Transilien line J (Cormeilles-en-Parisis stop), then the bus (line 30 or 12 to Guy Pantin stop) or opt for tramway T8 towards Villetaneuse-Université (get off at the terminus) and tramway T5 towards Garges-Sarcelles (Mairie de Pierrefitte stop). Enjoy your visit to the Butte Pinson park!
