Fancy a bucolic outing that combines a stroll with a bit of sport? If you're not afraid of the water (and know how to swim, incidentally), we highly recommend a canoe trip. Near Crécy-la-Chappelle, Loc'Adventure offers you the chance to get on board (and row, of course) for a 6, 14 or 21 kilometer trip along the Grand Morin, a sub-tributary of the Seine which flows into the Marne.
Grab your paddles, and let's set off for a little aquatic stroll along the Venise Briarde - Crécy-la-Chapelle's pretty nickname - and above all, to discover this pretty corner of Seine-et-Marne. Along the way, you'll pass the poetic gardens of Moulin Jaune, the town's remarkable garden, famous for its saffron-colored mill. You can also explore the bucolic Vallée des peintres du Grand Morin, a rural setting that inspired Corot, Toulouse-Lautrec and Servin.
This canoe trip can be enjoyed with family, friends or even lovers, and costs €25 per person for the 6 km Discovery trip, €35 for the 14 km Explorer trip and €40 for the 21 km Adventure trip. If you're more the paddle team, Loc'Adventure also offers a 3 km course (€25 per person, 1h30 of activity). The good news is that this bucolic canoe trip is also accessible by public transport, as Crécy-la-Chapelle is served by line P of the Transilien train (depart from Gare de l'Est, take direction Esbly to Crécy-la-Chapelle). Enjoy the ride!
