The village of Samoreau doesn't even have 3,000 inhabitants, but it does have a huge park: welcome to Parc Saint-Aubin, the large meadow around a small pond in Samoreau, Seine-et-Marne.
If you take a stroll through Samoreau, you'll quickly notice that there's not a lot to do here, given the size of the village: after discovering thechurch, whose steeple towers over the neighboring houses, and possibly staying at the municipal campsite, head for Parc Saint-Aubin!
Adorned with a huge lake where you can fish (provided you have a permit and respect the rules set out on an information board at the park entrance), the site is perfect for a family outing, with the possibility of taking dogs along, provided they are kept on a leash.
