After the last fireworks displays of the season, the magic continues with the light shows, which resume at the end of November to illuminate the magical holiday season. But before that, other projections and light shows are on the program, in Paris and the Ile-de-France region, notably in Meaux (77), where a very special light projection will take place this Friday evening, September 20.
For the 41st edition of the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days), the American monument in the town of Meaux will be illuminated in its entirety, all the way up to its 23-metre height. Inaugurated in Meaux in 1932, this monument is now listed as a historic monument and was donated by the American people in memory of the 1914 Battle of the Marne. So, in memory of this story that particularly affected the town of Meaux - now home to the Musée de la Grande Guerre and its rich collections on the First World War - the video-mapping show invites you to rediscover the history of this monument, this Friday, September 20, 2024, starting at 9:30pm.
The good news is that the show is free and open to all: meet us on route de Varreddes, next to the Grande Guerre museum and the American monument, to discover this unique show!
