On the weekend of October 5 and 6, 2024, the Trail du Soldat de la Marne is organizing a new edition of this sporting and nature event within the Pays de Meaux agglomeration community. With routes crossing the communes of Barcy, Chambry, Crécy-les-Meaux, Meaux and Varreddes, set off to discover this rural corner of the Île-de-France region on a marked walk or run.
On Sunday, October 6, you can opt for a walking number (10 or 20 kilometers) or a running number (5, 11, 21 and 30 kilometers). On Saturday, it's all about the kids, with several races for the little ones, ranging from 400 to 2,000 m. For the latter, the challenge is organized by school level, allowing local schools to take part.
This year, for the first time, the finish line for the adult races will be at the foot of the American Monument in rue de Varreddes.
On the practical side, free shuttle buses will take you to the starting points of the walking and running routes, with the park of the Musée de la Grande Guerre as the starting point. Race numbers for the 21 km walk are €13, for the 30 km run €25, for the 21 km run €20, for the 5 km run €10, for the 11 km run €13 and for the 10 km walk €7. At the finish, each finisher will be rewarded with a medal, with rewards for the top three in each category in all events (except the walk, rewarded only for the top three).
